Trumpet method with three parts and online audio
Horen Lezen & Spelen Complete Uitgave trompet combines the three lesson books of this well-known trumpet method in one edition. You work step by step on note reading, rhythm, playing technique and ear training, while the online audio accompaniment adds extra enjoyment to practice.
Written by Jaap Kastelein, the method follows current standards and requirements of music education and the related exams. This makes the book suitable for both group lessons and individual instruction.
Structure of parts 1, 2 and 3
Part 1 covers note values up to quavers within a limited range, together with several accidentals and the main alternate fingerings. Part 2 expands this with semiquavers, the 6/8 time signature and a chromatic range extension, supplemented by playing techniques and exercises tailored to trumpet.
Part 3 focuses primarily on playing many pieces and also covers new scales, intervals, major and minor keys, and improvising over a chord scheme. Rhythm is further developed into commonly used note-value combinations.
Extra repertoire and content
This complete edition includes not only the three lesson books with matching audio, but also a selection of suitable repertoire for each part. From different play-along books, four pieces in various styles have been added for each level, so you can work on actual music alongside the lesson material.
With 172 pages, this Dutch-language edition offers plenty of variety through ear-training exercises, games, puzzles, tips and facts. In all parts, dr. Checkup guides the student with useful information and advice, and in part 3 Theodor Tonleiter joins in with extra explanation, making it practical for lessons or home study.
